We are passionate home owners and investors with 10–15 years of hands-on experience in the Sydney real estate market. As active investors, we understand what truly matters when creating a dream home in Sydney: great locations, solid construction, thoughtful design and long-term value. We work closely with licensed builders, architects and trusted trades, and that practical experience shapes everything we publish.
Sydney Dream Homes is an independent property information site. We do not sell homes, list properties, or take commissions from agents, developers or builders — which means our guides do not have to talk up any suburb or development. Our goal is simple: to help people find, build and invest in the right home in Sydney, with the facts they need to make their own decision.
What we publish
- Suburb guides. More than 640 Sydney suburbs researched individually — each guide covers the suburb's character, transport and commute times, schools, universities, shopping and amenities, parks, median prices, new developments, jobs and neighbouring suburbs. Each guide is dated, and suburb data is drawn from public sources: ABS census figures, NSW Government school and planning records, transport timetables, council documents and recent property sales data.
- Market reports. Yearly and half-yearly overviews of Sydney prices, trends and forecasts, plus a median-price map across suburbs.
- Buying and building guides. Cost guides for building a house, renovations, finding a builder, and the complete first-home-buyer process — written for Sydney's actual regulations and price levels.
How we research
Every suburb guide is compiled field by field from named public sources rather than copied from other guides. Where sales trackers disagree on a median price, we say so and publish the range. Where a facility simply does not exist in or next to a suburb, we do not list it. We correct errors when they are pointed out — see below — and we update guides as suburbs change.
Accuracy and corrections
Real estate data moves quickly. Median prices, school zones, timetables and development plans all change, and while we date every page and review our sources regularly, you should always verify the details that matter to your own decision — starting with the links in each guide. If you spot something out of date or wrong, we want to know: email [email protected] and we will investigate and correct it promptly.
