Transport
No operating railway station: Balmoral railway station on the old Main South (Picton–Mittagong loop) alignment closed with the loop line in 1978 and is disused — the station building was later re-erected next to the old 1893 school house, and the NSW Rail Museum's heritage loop trains from Picton stop short of the village at Buxton. The village is served on weekdays by the NSW TrainLink Bowral-to-Picton bus, which runs through the villages on the old Main South alignment between Mittagong and Picton stations. The nearest regular passenger rail is Yerrinbool station on the Main South (Southern Highlands) line in the adjacent suburb to the east.
