Quiet, leafy and predominantly residential suburb in southern Sydney, in the Bayside Council area (St George region), named after free settler Thomas Hill Bardwell who bought land there in 1853. Bardwell Park borders the remnant bushland of the Wolli Creek Valley — described as the only bushland of any size left in inner south-west Sydney — along its western edge, with Bardwell Valley and its creek-side golf course just to the east.
