Bronte, NSW 2024

Small, tightly held beachside suburb of the Eastern Suburbs, with Bronte Beach sitting on Nelson Bay roughly 7 km east of the Sydney CBD and ringed by Bronte Park. At the 2021 census Bronte had 7,166 residents, 65.2% of them born in Australia, and the dominant age group is 30-39. The suburb takes its name from the estate Bronte House, built in 1845 for a relative of Lord Nelson — Nelson was Duke of Bronte in Sicily — and Bronte was judged the best of 641 Sydney suburbs in the Sydney Morning Herald's Good Suburbs Guide in 2008.
