Transport
Chatswood station (opened 1890) is served by Sydney Trains T1 North Shore & Western and T9 Northern lines plus the Sydney Metro M1 (North West & Bankstown line), whose CBD stretch from Chatswood to Sydenham opened 19 August 2024. M1 through-services to Bankstown were in driverless testing from mid-July 2026, with the final opening date still unannounced as of early September 2026. It is also a major bus interchange with routes operated by Busways, CDC NSW, Keolis Downer Northern Beaches and Transit Systems NSW across the North Shore and Northern Beaches.

Chatswood Public School - government primary (K-6), opened 1883 and redeveloped as part of the Chatswood Education Precinct. Chatswood High School - government co-educational secondary (7-12); ranked 63rd in NSW for 2023 HSC results and rebuilt with new buildings in recent years. St Pius X College - Catholic boys' school (Years 5-12), founded by the Christian Brothers. Mercy Catholic College - Catholic girls' secondary (Years 7-12), established 1890 by the Sisters of Mercy and part of Catholic Schools Broken Bay.
