Condell Park is an established, multicultural family suburb about 21 km south-west of the Sydney CBD in the City of Canterbury-Bankstown, with a 2021 census population of 13,066. It is a strongly multicultural community: at the 2021 census only 52.7% of residents were born in Australia (top birthplaces Vietnam 10.1% and Lebanon 9.8%), 28.8% spoke only English at home (Arabic 30.2%, Vietnamese 14.3%) and the most common religions were Islam 31.4% and Catholic 21.9%; the median age was 34. Housing is a mix of postwar brick family homes, newer infill and some high-density pockets near the Bankstown border, with a modest local shopping village on Simmat Avenue and the Manahan commercial corner at Chapel and Canterbury Roads.

Condell Park has no railway station within the suburb. Rail access is via Bankstown station in the adjoining suburb of Bankstown to the east: the station served the T3 Bankstown Line and is now being converted for Sydney Metro City & Southwest — all 11 stations between Sydenham and Bankstown are being upgraded to metro standards, and metro services to Bankstown are targeted to begin around October 2026. Revesby station on the T8 Airport & South Line sits just south in adjoining Revesby. Western Sydney University's Bankstown City campus is in the adjoining suburb of Bankstown (immediately east of Condell Park), and is the closest university campus (Western Sydney University).

Shopping & Amenities

Condell Park's shopping village is a small strip along Simmat Avenue, with an IGA supermarket, several chemists and numerous other shops and restaurants; there is also a commercial area on the corner of Chapel and Canterbury Roads known as Manahan. Club Condell Park (formerly the Bankstown Trotting Club) hosts the Bankstown Markets, held on the club's grounds every Sunday. Bankstown's larger retail and service centre — including the Bankstown Central shopping centre and council civic facilities — is immediately east in adjoining Bankstown.

Deverall Park is Condell Park's main sporting reserve — an extensive netball court complex, six tennis courts and the Bankstown Basketball Stadium, described as the largest basketball stadium in Australia; Kinch Reserve, next to the basketball stadium, is home to Condell Park Football Club. Condell Park also has heritage significance: the Bankstown Bunker, a WWII RAAF air-defence operations headquarters, is a heritage-listed site in the suburb.
