Glenhaven, NSW 2156

Glenhaven is a semi-rural suburb of Sydney about 32 km north-west of the CBD in The Hills Shire, part of the Hills District. At the 2021 census it had 6,619 residents with a median age of 48 (well above the national 38), 72.3% born in Australia and a median household income of $2,532/week; 79.7% of homes were owner-occupied. Described as a leafy suburb of large homes on large blocks: on the east side of Old Northern Road semi-rural acreages sit alongside a retirement village and the Flower Power Garden Centre, while homes on the 180–200 m ridge to the west look out to the Blue Mountains. The suburb was originally called Sandhurst, renamed Glenhaven in 1893 after 'The Glen' and 'The Haven' sections of the valley.

Glenhaven has no railway station and is car-oriented: it is served by CDC NSW bus routes including the 603 from Rouse Hill Town Centre to Parramatta via Castle Hill (serving most of the suburb) and the 637 and 638 to Castle Hill (serving the eastern portion). Castle Hill station on the Sydney Metro North West line is a short bus or car trip away in the adjoining suburb of Castle Hill — the practical rail gateway for residents.

Glenhaven Public School is the suburb's only school — a NSW government primary. Agent listings for Glenhaven properties point to the suburb being in the catchment of Castle Hill High School (government Years 7–12, about 2.7 km away in adjoining Castle Hill) and Samuel Gilbert Public School, with independent schools Oakhill College and The Hills Grammar also close by in the Castle Hill/Baulkham Hills area.
