Transport
Mascot is well served by rail and bus. Mascot railway station on the T8 Airport & South Line sits in the suburb's residential and business heart, and the line's Domestic Airport and International Airport stations also serve the suburb's airport side, so Mascot is covered by three stations on the one line. Buses are operated by Transdev John Holland and Transit Systems: routes 303, 306, 309, 310 and 350 travel down Botany Road, routes 343 and 358 down Gardeners Road, and route 305 departs from the Qantas Centre. The Sydenham-to-Botany branch of the Metropolitan Goods railway line also passes through the suburb with a goods yard.

J J Cahill Memorial High School — public co-educational secondary day school (Years 7–12) on Sutherland Street in Mascot, operated by the NSW Department of Education.
