A small, quiet, family-oriented suburb of just 1,902 residents at the 2021 census, wedged between Parramatta and Westmead on the western edge of the Parramatta CBD, 24 km west of the Sydney CBD. Mays Hill sits across the Great Western Highway from the Westmead health precinct and is split between Cumberland Council and the City of Parramatta, with older family homes on the quiet hilltop streets plus a band of apartments along the highway.
