Moorebank is an established suburb roughly 27 km south-west of the Sydney CBD in the City of Liverpool local government area, featuring a mix of residential and industrial areas. Named after early settler Thomas Moore and originally home to vineyards and other rural activities, it sits on a plateau that was cut off from surrounding areas in the floods of 1986.
