North Kellyville, NSW 2155

North Kellyville is a brand-new master-planned suburb of Sydney, about 37 km north-west of the CBD in The Hills Shire, proclaimed as a separate suburb on 29 June 2018 when it was carved out of the older suburb of Kellyville. Growth has been explosive: the 2021 census recorded 17,401 residents across 7,668 dwellings — almost all built since the late 2010s as family homes on modern estates. It is a young-families suburb of new houses, cul-de-sac estates and freshly built schools and shops, pitched by agents as a modern, family-oriented alternative to established Kellyville, with easy metro access at Rouse Hill and Kellyville.

North Kellyville has no railway station of its own, but two M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line stations sit in immediately adjacent suburbs: Rouse Hill station on Tempus Street in Rouse Hill (opened 26 May 2019, elevated station on the north-west metro line) and Kellyville station in Kellyville to the south (also opened 26 May 2019). Bus routes link the suburb to both: the 605 Hillsbus runs between Stringer Road in North Kellyville and Rouse Hill Town Centre; the 601 runs Rouse Hill station–Parramatta via Hills Showground; and the 715 runs Rouse Hill station–Seven Hills via Kellyville and Norwest; the 615X is a peak-hour express to the Sydney CBD via Kellyville, Baulkham Hills and the M2.

North Kellyville Public School — NSW government K–6 school in the suburb, opened 29 January 2019 as a $44M brand-new school (Stage 1 with 20 classrooms); it grew from 300 students at opening to 1,078 students in 42 mainstream and 4 support classes by 2024 (School Infrastructure NSW; school annual reports). Our Lady of the Angels Primary School — Catholic primary school in the suburb. Hills Adventist College — independent Adventist K–12 college with a campus in the suburb. Australian International Academy — independent Islamic K–12 school with a campus in North Kellyville. The suburb's public-school catchment also draws on Ironbark Ridge Public School and Beaumont Hills Public School (both in adjacent suburbs) and Rouse Hill High School for secondary years.

Shopping & Amenities

North Kellyville's main retail area is North Kellyville Square at the junction of Withers and Hezlett Roads, anchored by a Woolworths supermarket and BWS bottle shop plus specialty stores and services. A second centre, North Village at the corner of Hezlett and Beaton Roads, has an Aldi supermarket and specialty stores, with a McDonald's beside it. Rouse Hill Town Centre — the large regional centre with the Rouse Hill Metro station precinct — is a short bus ride away in adjacent Rouse Hill, and Kellyville Village (Coles, Woolworths, Aldi) sits just south at Green and Wrights Roads.

North Kellyville is a suburb of new parklands rather than old bushland reserves; the most visited include Samantha Riley Reserve, Twickenham Avenue Reserve, Oxlade Reserve, Withers Road Reserve, Springbrook Boulevard Reserve and Bladensburg Road Reserve, which double as local sports and playspace settings for the new estates. Larger district recreation is close by in adjacent suburbs — the Rouse Hill Town Centre precinct and parklands around Rouse Hill and Kellyville, and Bella Vista's hills reserves are all within a few minutes' drive.

Supporting facilities arrived in lockstep — North Kellyville Public School (opened 2019, $44M), North Kellyville Square and North Village shopping centres, and new parklands — as estate releases progressed. Kellyville Heights Estate in North Kellyville was recently marketed as a new-release house-and-land project with 528 m² lots from about $1,325,000 (OpenLot, 2026). Urban-release growth continues around the edges, with land release and new-estate activity ongoing in adjacent Kellyville and Box Hill precincts (OpenLot; homeone forum).

Local employment is anchored by the suburb's new schools and the retail workforce of North Kellyville Square and North Village, but most working residents commute: Norwest Business Park (Bella Vista/Norwest, a few minutes' drive or one metro stop beyond Kellyville) is the district's major office and health-precinct employer, Rouse Hill Town Centre is the nearby retail/commercial hub in adjacent Rouse Hill, and the M1 metro plus 615X express bus open up Sydney CBD jobs.
