Rapid-growth masterplanned suburb of the Macarthur region roughly 5 km east of historic Camden (itself about 64 km south-west of the Sydney CBD), on the east side of the Nepean River and home to the Spring Farm housing estate built largely from scratch since 2010 on former farmland. Growth has been explosive: the population rose 129% between the 2016 census (4,307) and the 2021 census (9,868). Demographically it is a young family suburb — median age 30, the dominant age band is 30–39 and 22% of residents are aged 0–9, households are mostly couples with children, and 72.7% of homes were owner-occupied at the 2021 census. The built form is contemporary brick-and-tile and rendered family homes on curving streets, with vacant land still a large share of listings as the estate continues to be built out (StMate).

Transport
Spring Farm has no railway station; the nearest station is Macarthur, on the T8 Airport & South line. Buses are run by Transit Systems, which operate a number of routes through the suburb ; routes 890, 891 and 893 are among the lines serving stops near Spring Farm, including along Richardson Road and Waterworth Drive, with the S17 service running between Narellan and Camden via Spring Farm. Note: the route 895 Campbelltown–Camden–Camden South loop does not pass through Spring Farm itself — it runs via the adjacent Camden township and Camden South (TheTimey). The suburb sits off the Camden Bypass.

Spring Farm Public School — NSW government primary (K–6) on Barley Road, built in 2016 as the estate's school and described as one of the fastest-growing schools in the Camden growth corridor ; property.com.au records 814 students in 2023. Secondary and Catholic options sit in immediately adjacent suburbs rather than within Spring Farm itself: Elderslie High School (48 Hilder Street, Narellan — the zoned public high school, established January 1977, whose feeder primaries include Spring Farm Public School), Elizabeth Macarthur High School on Waterworth Drive in adjacent Narellan Vale/Narellan (Foursquare; Better Education), and St Paul's Catholic Primary School in adjacent Camden and Magdalene Catholic College in adjacent Narellan. Note: there is no Catholic 'St James' school in Spring Farm — the school of that name is in Cygnet, Tasmania, not the Macarthur region.

Spring Farm Shopping Village (also known as Spring Farm Shopping Centre, at 254 Richardson Road) is the suburb's main centre — a Woolworths-anchored neighbourhood village with BWS and around 14 other specialty stores, and its bus stop on Richardson Road is a recognised local interchange (realcommercial.com.au; anyspaces; Citymapper). Everyday needs beyond that are met in the adjacent Camden town centre a few minutes' drive away, whose historic main street has supermarkets, cafes and weekend markets, with larger retail in the wider Macarthur precinct (StMate). The Spring Farm Resource Recovery Park in the suburb processes household waste for the Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee council areas.

Springs Lake — a man-made lake in Spring Farm with a timber boardwalk and picnic facilities, the suburb's signature open space.
