Winston Hills, NSW 2153

A leafy, predominantly mid-century suburb 28 km west of the Sydney CBD, developed from the late 1960s on former 'Model Farms' market-garden land and named after Winston Churchill — 'Churchill Hills' was the rejected alternative. At the 2021 census it had 12,123 residents, 68.7% born in Australia, with a largely established, house-based population. It reads as a classic planned post-war family suburb: low-density streets of 1960s–70s brick homes on generous blocks rising toward bushland edges and creek reserves, anchored by Winston Hills Mall and the Chisholm Centre along Caroline Chisholm Drive, with the Parramatta skyline visible from its northern ridge.

The nearest train stations are Seven Hills and Toongabbie on the Western line, a short bus or car trip away. The M2 Hills Motorway terminates at Old Windsor Road/Abbott Road at Winston Hills' north-western corner, giving direct motorway access toward the CBD (Ozroads).
